• This is the third match between A.Carraro Imoco Conegliano and Allianz Stuttgart, in 2020 only the first leg of the quarter-finals was played in Germany (Conegliano won) before the stop due to Covid, while on 15 November there was the first leg with a 3-1 victory in Stuttgart for the Italian champion team.

• Joanna Wolosz, the captain of the Italian Panthers, is back. She was out due to an injury in the last Champions League match.
• Quote from the coach Daniele Santarelli: "We went through a difficult period with a lot of injuries, that limited us a lot, forcing us to train even in emergency situations, but the team reacted great, putting in proud and great application. The results on the field were not affected and all the players called upon have always responded great, finding ways to be useful to the team. Even on Sunday (01/12/2023) in Novara (Italian championship) the team gave a good demonstration of character and maturity, managing to win well on a difficult court against one of the best-ranked opponents in the tournament. Now just 48 hours away we have this round of Champions League awaiting us with a tough team like Stuttgart that we have already faced at home. It wasn't an easy match and it won't be easy tomorrow either, they are a team with international experience and good players. • Eczacibasi Dynavit ISTANBUL have reached the Final of the Champions League for the second time, after 2014/15 when they beat Unendo Yamamay BUSTO ARSIZIO 3-0 to claim their first and so far only Champions League trophy.

• VakifBank ISTANBUL and Eczacibasi Dynavit ISTANBUL will face each other for the 18th time in the CEV Champions League, but for the first time in the Super Final.
• This is the first all-Turkish final in the CEV Champions Three times before the final was contested between two teams from the same country, Italy: in 2000/01 (Edison Volley MODENA vs Caposud REGGIO CALABRIA 3-0), in 2004/05 (Volley BERGAMO vs Asystel NOVARA 3-0) and in 2018/2019 (Igor Gorgonzola NOVARA vs Imoco Volley CONEGLIANO 3-1).
• The 18 matches between these sides make it the most played fixture in the CEV Champions League (women & men). The next most played fixture is VakifBank ISTANBUL versus RC CANNES (women) on 14 matches.
• VakifBank ISTANBUL have a W13-L4 record against Eczacibasi Dynavit ISTANBUL in the Champions League. These 13 wins are the most wins by a women's team against any opponent (next is RC CANNES on 9 wins against Uralochka-NTMK EKATERINBURG).

• VakifBank ISTANBUL have won the women's Champions League a record five times, including last season. They beat A. Carraro Imoco CONEGLIANO 3-1 in the final (played in Ljubljana).
• The Turkish side also claimed the title in 2010/11, 2012/13, 2016/17 and 2017/18.
• VakifBank ISTANBUL themselves are the last club to win successive editions of the CEV Women's Champions League (2016/17-2017/18).
• VakifBank ISTANBUL have reached the Champions League final for a record-extending ninth time, all under Giovanni Guidetti. No other team has played the final more than five times.
• Including 2022/23, VakifBank ISTANBUL have reached the Final in six of the last seven completed Champions League campaigns (2019/20 season was not completed due to COVID-19). The exception was 2018/19 when they were eliminated in the Semi-Finals.
• VakifBank ISTANBUL have a W9-L3 record in this season's Champions League. Their third loss in this campaign was against Fenerbahçe Opet ISTANBUL in the first leg of the Semi-Finals. VakifBank ISTANBUL won the return in straight sets and then won the Golden Set 15-12 to reach the Final.
• Paola Egonu (235) is the top scorer in this season's Champions League. Egonu has already bettered the points tally of last season's top scorer: 214 by Isabelle Haak (also for VakifBank ISTANBUL).

• Chiaka Ogbogu (31) has scored the most points from kill blocks in this Champions League campaign.

Eczacibasi ISTANBUL

• Eczacibasi Dynavit ISTANBUL have reached the Final of the Champions League for the second time, after 2014/15 when they beat Unendo Yamamay BUSTO ARSIZIO 3-0 to claim their first and so far only Champions League trophy.
• Eczacibasi Dynavit ISTANBUL have won nine of their 10 matches in this Champions League campaign, only losing the first leg in their Semi-Final tie against Igor Gorgonzola NOVARA on 5 April: 2-3, final set 14-16.
• Eczacibasi Dynavit ISTANBUL won all of their 26 matches in the 2022/23 regular stage of the Turkish Sultan League, finishing top of the table ahead of VakifBank ISTANBUL in second place (Note: these two teams could meet again in the play-offs of the Turkish league which are scheduled prior to the Champions League Super Final).
• Tijana Boškovic is the team's top scorer in this Champions League season on 153 points. Her average of 6.37 points per set is the highest of all players this season.
• Boškovic scored 179 points in her previous Champions League campaign in 2020/21.
• Boškovic could win the Champions League for the first time. With her current team she won the CEV Cup twice (2017/18 and 2021/22 and claimed the Club World Championship in 2016.
• Maja Ognjenovic has already won the CEV Challenge Cup (2008/09 with Monte Schiavo Banca Marche JESI) and CEV Cup (2017/18 and 2021/22 with Eczacibasi Dynavit ISTANBUL), but she has yet to win the Champions League. She lost the final of the Champions League with VakifBank ISTANBUL in 2020/21.
