    • The only German side to win the predecessor to the Champions League was Traktor SCHWERIN which won the Champions Cup in 1977/78 (representing East Germany).
    • In both of Allianz MTV STUTTGART’s quarter-finals appearances they have met Italian opposition. They were defeated over two legs against Igor Gorgonzola NOVARA in 2018/19 and after one leg against A. Carraro Imoco CONEGLIANO in 2019/20 (0-3 loss) before the league was suspended.
    • Allianz MTV STUTTGART topped Pool D in the group stage with 13 points, level on points with Fenerbahçe Opet ISTANBUL but progressing on a higher number of wins. They were the only group winners in this season’s group stage with less than 15 points.
    • Krystal Rivers (97) can reach 100 points in this season’s Champions League in this match. She needs 35 points to equal her tally from Allianz MTV STUTTGART’s previous Champions League campaign; 132 in 2021.
    • Maria Segura Palleres (41,25%) has the highest percentage in perfect receptions in this season's Champions League.

    • Igor Gorgonzola NOVARA won the Champions League in 2018/19. After topping their group they went on to beat Allianz MTV STUTTGART 5-1 on aggregate in the quarter-finals (3-1 away, 3-2 home).
    • Igor Gorgonzola NOVARA (4 wins, 4 matches) have a 100% record of winning their CEV Champions League quarter-finals matches. They can become the second Italian side to win five Champions League quarter-finals after A. Carraro Imoco CONEGLIANO (6) who could add to their total this campaign.
    • Igor Gorgonzola NOVARA beat Fenerbahçe Opet ISTANBUL 6-2 on aggregate in their last quarter-finals tie in 2020/21 before they were defeated by A. Carraro Imoco CONEGLIANO (6-0 on aggregate) in the semi-finals.
    • Stefano Lavarini coached Poland to the quarter-finals at the world championships in Netherlands and Poland last year. Lavarini’s team came up against Germany including Marie Schölzel in the group stage. Schölzel scored nine points in Germany’s 2-3 defeat.
    • Only one player has scored more points per set than Ebrar Karakurt (6.33) in this season's Champions League, Eczacibasi Dynavit ISTANBUL’s Tijana Boškovic (6.71). Karakurt has scored 133 points in six matches.
    • Karakurt was part of the VakifBank ISTANBUL team that won the Champions League in 2017/18.
