    Knack ROESELARE

    • After three victories and two defeats in Pool C of the CEV Champions League Volley 2023, Knack ROESELARE is still in the running for the Quarter Finals. The match of Wednesday 25 January 2023 against Lube CIVITANOVA will be decisive.
    • In November, Knack ROESELARE lost their home-match against Lube CIVITANOVA with 1-3 (19-25, 25-21, 23-25, 27-29). The match turned into a thriller and the home-team was very close to a five-setter or maybe even more.
    • In the past seven years, both teams played eight Champions League matches against each other. Knack ROESELARE only won one of them, the home-match in the 2015-2016 season (3-1 victory). Knack ROESELARE never won a match in CIVITANOVA so far.
    • Setter Stijn D'Hulst played two seasons for Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA in the years 2018 up to 2020 . During that period, he won the Italian Championship, the CEV Champions League and the FIVB Club World Championship in 2019 and the Italian Cup in 2020 before returning to Knack ROESELARE.
    • In their home competition, Knack ROESELARE is leading at the top with twelve consecutive victories and only four sets lost. Last weekend, they won 0-3 from Lindemans AALST.
    • Knack ROESELARE also advanced to the finals of the Belgian Cup. On 26 February, they will meet Decospan Volley MENEN, the other Belgian team in the CEV Champions League Volley 2023, in Antwerp in their race for their fifteenth Belgian Cup.

    “We have to do better than Tours VB in our last group match in the Champions League. We have to go to Italy on January 25 to fight leader Lube Civitanova. Tours VB has a lighter programme on paper, because they receive Benfica Lisbon and they are in last place. Against Lube Civitanova, we will have to play a world game again. But my team is ready for this challenge. We did very well especially in defense and with our serves in our last match against Tours VB.”
